If a cat or dog eats a paratenic host (see Glossary for definition), any encysted
larvae present will migrate in the animal in a way similar to that
if infective eggs had been ingested. This route of infection is of particular
importance in hunting cats preying on mice with Toxocara larvae in the
tissues.
